You:

  • Are concerned about ecological and climate breakdown.

  • Feel stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, guilty, despairing, or angry about the state of the world and need more support.

  • Want to help and need more direction.

Join us for:

  • A 4-part, live, online workshop to learn with like-hearted, like-minded community.

  • A monthly personal exploration to observe and connect with ourselves from winter through springtime.

4 Saturdays from 1:00 to 2:15 pm (Eastern time):

  • January 28, 2023: Self-care, grounding, gratitude, feelings, and needs.

  • February 25, 2023: Our mortality, grief/hope, presence, and life purpose.

  • March 25, 2023: Ecological and climate breakdown, hopelessness/hope, acceptance, and passion.

  • April 22, 2023: Life design, taking action, contributing to your community, and burning out/getting started.

Each session includes:

  • Exploration of the themes through a presentation, personal reflection, and group discussions.

  • Guided visualisation and body/movement practice.

  • PDF handout including pre-assigned exercises and slides—plus a bonus PDF package after the last session.

How does the sliding scale work?

Please reflect on the following honestly and choose a price that makes sense for you:

  • How much do you earn on an hourly basis?

  • How valuable is this to you? What amount would cause you hardship? What amount would be comfortable?

  • On average, how much do you spend on self-development or self-care (e.g. exercise classes or retreats)? How much do you spend for fun (e.g. trips, eating at restaurants, or buying books)?

If you are a BIPOC activist and cannot afford the sliding scale, there are also 3 fully sponsored spots (including the e-book and audio tracks) available. Please email in this short request form — deadline extended to January 13.

Workshop spots are limited; register to reserve your spot now. With your registration, you'll receive a discount code for 30% off the "Embers of Hope" e-book and audio tracks (for guided meditations).

We are creating a mutually-supportive community, so I ask that:

  • You do your best to attend all 4 live sessions. While the sessions will be on Zoom and the recordings will be provided to you (and missing one session due to illness or an emergency is understandable), this is not meant to be a video series or a self-paced course.

  • You do your best to participate and be present with your video on. (Being able to see one another's faces where possible helps us build connection and trust.)

  • You take time to do an exercise before each session. (You might give yourself 10 minutes or 3 hours; the amount of time is up to you.) A short exercise will be assigned before each session. Readings and exercises from the book will also be suggested; however these are optional.

What people say about “Embers of Hope”:

  • “During this time of climate, ecological and other crises, Embers of Hope is a needed beacon to help us navigate ecological grief, feelings of despair, hope and more. Embers of Hope is the missing piece in our climate, social and other justice work. This is the antidote we need to face our mortality while fostering hope for a better future.” —Emma Lui, activist, researcher, and contributing author in Corporatizing Canada: Making Business out of Public Service

  • “With open-hearted generosity, Bonita Eloise Ford weaves a pathway with permaculture, energy healing, the Indigenous wisdom of her teachers, and her own life experience, and then guides [us] through a series of exercises to enable us all to face the challenges of a world in ecological collapse and climate chaos with clarity and meaning. That is how, as the fire dies, we find the Embers of Hope.” —Maddy Harland, editor of Permaculture Magazine and author of Fertile Edges: Regenerating Land, Culture and Hope
